Hey Icons,
Continuing my upcycling path: Elevating an old blazer with beautiful butterflies 🦋
I’m always looking for new ways to upcycle and repurpose old clothes. I love the idea of giving new life to something that would otherwise be thrown away. It’s also a great way to save money and reduce my environmental impact.
Recently, I came across a beautiful old blazer in my closet. It was in great condition, but I didn’t love the style. So, I decided to give it an upcycle with some beautiful butterflies.
Here’s how I did it:
🦋 I gathered my supplies: the blazer, some butterfly patches (I found mine on Etsy), needles, and a black thread.
🦋 I laid the blazer out flat and arranged the butterfly patches where I wanted them.
🦋 I sew the butterfly patches and tightened it firmly onto the blazer.
That’s it! My upcycled butterfly blazer was complete. I love the way it turned out. It’s now one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe.
I hope this has inspired you to get creative and try upcycling your own clothes/shoes/bags. It’s a great way to give new life to old pieces and create unique and stylish pieces that you’ll love to wear.
